ASHBURN, VA. (AP) - On the day Washington Redskins quarterback John Beck turned 30, he was praised by coach Mike Shanahan for his play against the Indianapolis Colts.
What he didn’t get was the starting job.
Shanahan said Sunday that he hasn’t decided if Beck or Rex Grossman will start against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday. The coach was pleased with the decision-making by Beck, who was sacked three times by the Colts on Friday in a 16-3 win.
Beck completed 14 of 17 passes for 140 yards. Grossman threw for 88 yards on 8-of-12 passing in relief.
