JOHNS CREEK, GA. (AP) - Tiger Woods has run into trouble after grabbing a share of the early lead at the PGA Championship.
Starting on the back side Thursday, Woods birdied three of the first five holes. But the erratic play that has kept him winless in majors for more than three years turned up at the 15th hole, the longest par-3 on the course at 253 yards.
Woods came up far short of the green with his tee shot, dunking his ball in a pond that runs along the right side of the hole. He wound up taking a double bogey.
At the 16th, a wild drive led to more problems. He landed in a fairway bunker to the right, knocked his approach into the gallery on the left side, flopped it into another bunker and settled for a bogey, pushing him back to even par.

Starting on the back side, Woods birdied three of his first five holes at Atlanta Athletic Club to move into a tie with England’s Ross Fisher and Steve Stricker. But at the par-3
15th, he went with an iron and came up well short, dunking his ball in the pond on the right side of the green.
Wood wound up taking a double-bogey. Now, the lead is shared by Fisher, Stricker, Bubba Watson and Bill Haas, all at 3 under.
Woods hasn’t won a major in more than three years. Just last week, he came back from a three-month layoff to let an ailing leg properly heal. He finished 18 shots behind winner Adam Scott at the World Golf Championship.
