SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA (AP) - South Korea’s LG Electronics Inc. and Japan’s Sony Corp. say they have ended a fight over several patents.

LG said Thursday in an e-mail, “LG and Sony have settled patent-infringement lawsuits and agreed to cross-license each other’s patents.” The South Korean company declined to elaborate.

Sony spokesman Keita Sanekata in Tokyo confirmed the settlement in a dispute over patents for Blu-ray disc players, TVs and mobile phones. He declined to disclose its terms or other details but said they were moving toward licensing deals.

Sony and LG had filed several infringement complaints against each other in the U.S. and Europe _ part of a slew of patent disputes among companies in the highly competitive technology industry.
