ANNAPOLIS, MD. | Navy football coach Ken Niumatalolo signed a long-term contract yesterday. Details of the deal were not released.

Niumatalolo has led the Midshipmen to a 27-14 (.659) record in his first three seasons, including three consecutive bowl games, three victories over Army and two Commander-In-Chiefs Trophies.

His 27 wins are the most in school history for a coach in his first three years and he joins Eddie Erdelatz and Wayne Hardin as the only coaches in school history to beat Notre Dame in back-to-back years.
