BENALMADENA, SPAIN (AP) - A Spanish zoo is trying to find its own successor to Paul the Octopus, whose predictions were a highlight of last year’s World Cup.

Two tentacled tipsters were tasked with predicting the outcome of Saturday’s Spanish league match between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Iniesta, named after Barcelona playmaker Andres Iniesta, picked Madrid to win. The small Mediterranean sea octopus snatched a sardine from a plastic tube featuring Madrid’s logo at the Sea Life Aquarium in Benalmadena, southern Spain.

Iker, a 16-kilogram Pacific Ocean octopus named after Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas, ate neither of the sardines after 15 minutes, signaling a draw.

Paul the Octopus died last October.
