MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Lynx have signed Maya Moore, the first pick in this year’s WNBA draft.
The team announced the signing on Thursday. Terms were not disclosed.
Moore won two national championships at Connecticut, a four-time All-American who averaged 22.8 points per game this season. She was also the only collegian to play on the U.S. women’s national team that won a gold medal at the world championships last October.
Moore’s first on-court action with the Lynx will come on May 24, an exhibition game against the Indiana Fever. The regular season begins in June.
