INDEPENDENCE, OHIO (AP) - Their turbulent months together finally over, the Cleveland Cavaliers headed in different directions. They ended the season going the same way.

The Cavaliers, who lost an NBA-record 26 straight games, ended one of the worst seasons in franchise history on a positive note, winning their final two games and finishing 6-6 in their last 12. Although his team had the worst record in the Eastern Conference, coach Byron Scott was encouraged that his team never splintered and scrapped until the end.

Scott said he never regretted taking the job, and joked there was only one moment where he “wanted to kill everybody on the team.”

Cleveland has two first-round picks in June’s draft.
