BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA (AP) - Police say the home of soccer star Lionel Messi’s brother was sprayed with bullets in Argentina. No injuries have been reported.
Police say at least six bullets were fired from a small-caliber weapon Monday at Matias Messi’s home in Rosario, about 200 miles from Buenos Aires.
The newspaper La Capital de Rosario reports that Matias Messi and his mother, Celia Messi, were in the house at the time. Other reports say the gunshots came from a passing motorcycle.
Messi family lawyer Ricardo Giusepponi tells an Argentine television channel he has been unable to contact Matias Messi.
Lionel Messi, the Argentine great, played over the weekend for first-place Barcelona in the Spanish League.
