IRVING, TEXAS (AP) - The Dallas Cowboys have traded receiver Patrick Crayton to San Diego and offensive lineman Pat McQuiston to Miami for future considerations.

The Cowboys gave Crayton permission to seek a trade after they took Dez Bryant in the first round of April’s NFL draft. He missed most of the voluntary offseason workouts and indicated he wanted to be released from a contract that runs through next season.

Dallas has depth at receiver with starters Miles Austin and Roy Williams. Bryant is expected to fill the No. 3 spot even though he missed most of training camp with a sprained ankle.

The Cowboys are making changes in their offensive line, but McQuiston was never a contender to be a starter.
