Leon Washington and Anquan Boldin headed across the country in the offseason after being traded. Their new teams have to consider those deals steals.

Outstanding performances by the Seahawks’ Washington, who tied an NFL record with two kickoff returns for touchdowns, and the Ravens’ Boldin with three touchdown catches emphasized the importance of both players to their new teams.

Kansas City’s Thomas Jones, Chicago’s Julius Peppers and the Jets’ Jason Taylor are other newcomers having strong impacts after trading places.

That hardly means changing addresses is a tonic for NFL players. Kyle Vanden Bosch, Jake Delhomme and Ted Ginn Jr. haven’t won a game in their new locales, with Delhomme and Ginn sitting out the last two losses with injuries.
