DETROIT (AP) - Minnesota Twins manager Ron Gardenhire has been hit in the ear by a thrown ball during batting practice, but does not appear to be seriously hurt.
A Twins spokesman says Gardenhire appeared to be OK after being hit in the right ear, and that team doctors were monitoring his condition.
Gardenhire was still in the clubhouse when Saturday night’s game against the Detroit Tigers started, but the Twins said he might return to the dugout later in the game.
