BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF. (AP) - A court spokesman says Lindsay Lohan’s attorney has filed a motion challenging a judge’s order that sent her to jail without bail.
Los Angeles Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini says Lohan’s attorney filed a writ of habeas corpus late Friday afternoon. A copy of the filing, which challenges the court’s authority to hold Lohan without bail until an Oct. 22 hearing, was not immediately available.
Judge Elden S. Fox ordered Lohan held until her next court date at a hearing earlier in the day. He made the decision after Lohan failed a drug test.
Fox refused to hear any discussion about setting bail for the “Mean Girls” star.
