On the day that football player Reggie Bush surrendered his 2005 Heisman Trophy because of rules violations (“Bush says he’s forfeiting Heisman Trophy,” Web, Sports, Tuesday) other headlines mention the “record levels” of U.S. strikes on Afghan terorists. Wouldn’t it also be considered a “rules violation” if a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize escalated a war to record levels?

I thought they gave this peace prize to people who waged peace, not war. Now that the facts of this case are out on the table, will the Nobel Committee - much like the Heisman Committee did to Reggie Bush - lean on President Obama to surrender his Nobel Peace Prize? Or does any of it really matter because everything about Mr. Obama winning this award was bogus from the get-go?
