NEW YORK (AP) - Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins is out of the lineup with tightness in his right hamstring and may miss a couple of games while recuperating.
Rollins left Wednesday’s game early, and the first-place Phillies were off Thursday. He was not in the lineup for Friday night’s series opener at the New York Mets.
Phillies manager Charlie Manuel indicated Rollins may not start Saturday, either. There is a chance the three-time All-Star could play Sunday.
Rollins has twice been on the 15-day disabled list this season because of a calf problem.
The Phillies also reinstated right-hander Danys Baez from the 15-day disabled list.
