WASHINGTON | Gilbert Arenas has returned to the practice court after missing the end of Washington Wizards training camp with a sprained right ankle.
Arenas practiced Monday with his ankle taped. Coach Flip Saunders said he wasn’t sure whether the former All-Star will play in Tuesday’s preseason opener at Dallas.
Arenas missed three of the final four sessions of camp, first with a sore leg and then with the sprained ankle.
Arenas is attempting a comeback after knee injuries and a 50-game suspension for a felony gun conviction limited him to 47 games over the past three seasons.
No. 1 overall pick John Wall was cut over his eye during Monday’s practice, but he did not require stitches.
