INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Injuries are hitting some of Peyton Manning’s favorite targets.
Colts president Bill Polian says tight end Dallas Clark is out indefinitely with a hand/wrist injury. He told WISH-TV that Clark would meet with doctors on Thursday to determine the extent of the injury and how long he will be sidelined.
Coach Jim Caldwell would only confirm that Clark was being evaluated.
The Colts also said wide receiver Austin Collie (thumb) and defensive tackle Antonio Johnson (knee) have undergone surgeries. The team said there is time for their return.
Manning has combined with Clark to form one of the most prolific quarterback-tight end combos in NFL history. Clark ranks third on the team with 37 catches for 347 yards this season after catching 100 passes for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns last season.
The team re-signed tight end Gijon Robinson on Wednesday. The Colts don’t play this weekend.
