NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The Miami Heat held out LeBron James against the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday night, saying his right hamstring remained tight from an exhibition game a night earlier.
The Heat initially said James was cramping when he left Tuesday night against Russian team CSKA Moscow and that he was not expected to play in New Orleans.
With James sidelined, fans who showed up at the New Orleans Arena were unable to see two of Miami’s biggest stars. Dwyane Wade has been out since straining his right hamstring in the Heat’s first preseason game. Both were on the bench in warmups.
