EDEN PRAIRIE, MINN. (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings are reflecting on a victory for a change.
Interim head coach Leslie Frazier was smiling on Monday, one week after he replaced the fired Brad Childress. Frazier said he’d like to enjoy Sunday’s win over Washington longer, but the next game against Buffalo beckons.
The biggest issue for the Vikings this week is the health of All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson. Peterson sprained his right ankle late in the second quarter and didn’t return.
Frazier said the team was still gathering information on the severity of the injury.
Also, All-Pro left guard Steve Hutchinson sprained his thumb on Sunday. He played through it, but Frazier said Hutchinson was having an MRI test on Monday.
