DETROIT (AP) - The Detroit Tigers have designated right-hander Zach Miner for assignment.

Miner missed all of last season with right elbow problems and he had reconstructive surgery in May. He is being dropped to make room on the 40-man roster for Victor Martinez, who Detroit agreed to terms with last week.

In four seasons with the Tigers, Miner has gone 25-20 with a 4.24 ERA in 157 appearances, including 35 starts.
