ASHBURN, VA. (AP) - Donovan McNabb will finally get to practice the 2-minute drill on Saturday. Hamstrings permitting, that is.
Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said Thursday that McNabb’s hamstrings are still sore but have improved. The coach said if McNabb is full-speed, the Redskins will practice the 2-minute drill on Saturday in preparation for Monday night’s game against Philadelphia.
It would be the first time the Redskins have run the drill in practice in six weeks, according to the coach. Shanahan has said the lack of hurry-up practice was one of the reasons he benched McNabb late in a loss to Detroit.
