IRVING, TEXAS (AP) - The Dallas Cowboys have placed defensive end Marcus Spears on injured reserve, ending his season.

Spears injured his calf Sunday in the third quarter against Green Bay. The sixth-year veteran out of LSU had 24 tackles this season, including one for a loss.

Also placed on injured reserve was kick returner Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, who hurt his ankle two weeks ago against Jacksonville. Owusu-Ansah led the team averaging 21.7 yards on his 25 returns.

The club added two defensive linemen, Jeremy Clark and Jimmy Saddler-McQueen, to fill the vacancies.

Clark, a fourth-year player out of Alabama, was released by Arizona in September. Saddler-McQueen signed with the Cowboys as a rookie free agent out of Texas A&M-Kingsville and was later signed to the Rams practice squad.
