DETROIT (AP) - Right-hander Armando Galarraga is back with the Detroit Tigers after being recalled from Triple A Toledo.
Galarraga’s next scheduled start is Tuesday night at home against Texas. The team optioned him to Toledo to get some work over the recent All-Star break. He is 3-2 with a 4.45 earned run average in 10 games in Detroit.
Galarraga missed out on a perfect game June 2 against Cleveland when first-base umpire Jim Joyce called a runner safe. Replays showed the runner was out.
The Tigers also announced Monday that the team has optioned the contract of left-handed pitcher Andy Oliver to the Mudhens. Oliver (0-4) took the loss Sunday as the Indians beat the Tigers 7-2.
