ATLANTA (AP) - Zac Efron got a few fastball pointers from Atlanta Braves pitching coach Roger McDowell at an Atlanta baseball camp Tuesday. The teen heartthrob visited the Dan Perez Baseball Camp while on a promotional stop for his new movie, “Charlie St. Cloud.” Efron worked the crowd, signing autographs and playing catch with the young all-stars at the camp.
In the new movie, which is based on a novel, Efron plays a high school student whose love of baseball helps him cope after his little brother dies in a car accident.
Efron’s new movie opens July 30. Best known for the “High School Musical” series, Efron has also starred in movies “17 Again” and “Hairspray.”
