METAIRIE, LA. (AP) - Saints coach Sean Payton says leading receiver Marques Colston has had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee and may not be able to play in this Sunday’s regular season finale against Tampa Bay.

Colston played in Monday night’s victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Payton says Colston emerged from the game with soreness and had a procedure on Tuesday that the coach characterized as a “clean up” and relatively minor.

While Payton is not ruling Colston out, the receiver did not practice on Thursday and Payton says the injury influenced his decision to bring receiver Adrian Arrington up from the practice squad after the Saints placed kick returner Courtney Roby on injured reserve because of a concussion he had on Dec. 12.
