TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (AP) - As Gov. Charlie Crist prepares for a his last Clemency Board meeting, he’s reviewing a notebook containing details about a profanity-strewn rant on love and a joke about having sex with a lamb.
That would be the Jim Morrison notebook.
Crist asked his staff for any information they could find on The Doors singer and the wild March 1, 1969 Miami concert that led to Morrison’s conviction and they came up with dozens of pages describing that night, Morrison’s trial and documents on his other arrests.
Crist wants Morrison pardoned of his conviction on indecent exposure and profanity charges, saying there’s lingering doubt that he actually exposed himself at the concert.
