PHOENIX (AP) - The Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns are without two of their biggest stars.
Heat guard Dwyane Wade was sidelined Thursday night because of a sore left knee and Vince Carter, one of Phoenix’s three new players, was out with the same problem.
Wade was injured in Monday’s loss to Dallas when he banged knees with Mavericks point guard Jason Kidd. His status for Miami’s game on Christmas against the Los Angeles Lakers is uncertain.
Carter, who came to Phoenix in a six-player trade with Orlando on Sunday, has been bothered by a nagging injury that he worried earlier in the week might require surgery. He was relieved to learn surgery wasn’t needed, but isn’t sure when he’ll return.
