LIVONIA, MICH. (AP) - Michigan senior guard Stephen Schilling says it’s hard to ignore the speculation about Rich Rodriguez’s future.
Rodriguez didn’t have to deal with the awkwardness of having Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh in the same ballroom Thursday night. Harbaugh scheduled a practice on the day his teammates were honored 25 years after finishing the season ranked second.
That didn’t stop some from wondering if he was at his final banquet with the Wolverines.
Rodriguez didn’t talk to reporters before the banquet.
Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon reiterated on Monday that he won’t evaluate Rodriguez until the season is over.
College football’s winningest team qualified for a bowl for the first time in Rodriguez’s three seasons.
