ARLINGTON, TEXAS (AP) - Cliff Lee got another visit this week from the Texas Rangers, who are hoping the free-agent ace left-hander will return after helping them get to their first World Series.

Rangers president Nolan Ryan and general manager Jon Daniels met with Lee and his agent, Darek Braunecker, in Arkansas on Tuesday. It was their second face-to-face meeting in the pitcher’s home state since the end of the season .

Daniels has refused to say if the AL champions have made an offer to the coveted free agent pitcher.

New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman also visited Lee in Arkansas last month.

Lee’s agent hasn’t disclosed whether the Rangers, the Yankees or any other team has made a formal offer to the pitcher.
