NICHOLS HILLS, OKLA. (AP) - About 120 foster children received an early Christmas surprise Saturday when Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star Kevin Durant stopped by to deliver backpacks filled with presents.

Durant, the NBA’s scoring leader, chose Oklahoma City-based Citizens Caring for Children as the recipient of his annual “Kevin’s Christmas” charity event. He surprised the children with a visit and gifts, including an iPod shuffle, Thunder-themed Skullcandy headphones and Nike gear.

Durant also gave the organization a television, an Xbox 360, a Wii and video games that the children can play in their activity center.

Durant says he wanted the children “to feel special on Christmas” and hopefully have an experience they’ll always remember.
