WASHINGTON (AP) - Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum is set to make his season debut against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night. Bynum’s been out after offseason surgery to repair a partially torn ligament in his right knee.
Bynum said he would come off the bench, but Lakers coach Phil Jackson said he hadn’t decided on his role.
“We hope it’s more than exercise,” Jackson said.
Jackson said at Tuesday’s shootaround Bynum would probably play 15-20 minutes.
The 23-year-old Bynum averaged 15 points and 8.3 rebounds in 65 games last season.
