PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger missed only a few snaps in practice despite a sprained right foot that requires him to wear a protective boot away from the playing field.

Roethlisberger missed only a dozen or so snaps Wednesday after being fitted by trainer John Norwig with a reinforced shoe that stabilizes the foot yet allows enough movement to play. The quarterback plans to play during Pittsburgh’s key AFC North game Sunday at Baltimore. Both teams have 8-3 records.

Roethlisberger reinjured his foot during a 19-16 overtime victory in Buffalo on Sunday. He also injured his right knee, although that injury apparently isn’t serious.
