CLEVELAND (AP) - They’ll come armed with anger, wearing derogatory T-shirts and prepared to vent their frustration at him.

LeBron James, Cleveland is waiting for you.

The NBA superstar, who scorned the Cavaliers this summer when he decided to leave and join the Miami Heat, will return to his home state for the first time as a visiting player on Thursday night in a game that has necessitated extra security measures to prevent trouble.

Cavaliers fans are expected to be harsh and hostile toward James, who played seven seasons in Cleveland and made the franchise one of the NBA’s best. However, his departure was met with bitterness and betrayal after he announced he was leaving on a one-hour TV special in July.

Cleveland hasn’t forgotten and now the city is getting its chance to get even.
