ASHBURN, VA. (AP) - Albert Haynesworth has made it through his first full practice with the Washington Redskins, working as a second-string nose tackle.

Haynesworth put on his No. 92 jersey and blended right in Monday with his teammates, two days after he passed the team’s conditioning test.

Haynesworth wasn’t allowed to practice until he passed the test. He passed it Saturday morning, but his knee was too sore to make it through a complete practice Saturday afternoon. Sunday was a day off for players.

Coach Mike Shanahan says Haynesworth is “going to have to compete to win a position” after getting such a late start on learning the team’s new defensive scheme.
