ALLEN PARK, MICH. (AP) - Detroit Lions middle linebacker DeAndre Levy will miss the final exhibition game Thursday and perhaps the season-opener with a pulled groin muscle.
Lions coach Jim Schwartz disclosed the injury Monday. Levy was injured in Saturday’s preseason game against Cleveland, his first action since a back injury.
Levy will now miss the final preseason game against Buffalo and is a question mark for the Sept. 12 regular-season opener in Chicago.
The Lions got better news on safety Louis Delmas (groin), who also saw his first action against the Browns. Delmas said expects to play against the Bills.
