MADRID (AP) - Real Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo will be out three weeks after injuring his ankle in his team’s Spanish league opener.
Madrid said Monday on its website that the Portugal international was hurt in the 0-0 draw with Mallorca a day earlier.
The 25-year-old Ronaldo will miss Portugal’s 2012 European Championship qualifiers against Cyprus and Norway. He will also be out for Madrid’s next league match against Osasuna and its opening Champions League game against Ajax.
