NEW YORK (AP) - Escapist fare from the big broadcast networks dominated a quiet week in television viewing.
The Nielsen Co. said Tuesday that two editions of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” were the only prime-time programs to eclipse the 9 million mark in viewers last week.
Three editions of CBS’ “Big Brother 12” landed in the top 12 most-watched shows for the week. Nielsen says ABC’s “Wipeout” and the summer finale of Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen” were also among the most popular shows.
ABC’s premiere of “Dating in the Dark,” which tests couples’ compatibility when they can’t see each other, reached only 4.4 million people last week.
