On Nov. 6, 1979, Redskins coach Jack Pardee inserted quarterback Billy Kilmer into the starting lineup for struggling Joe Theismann on a Monday night game against the Colts. The move backfired, as Kilmer went 2-for-11 before being yanked in the third quarter of a 21-17 loss.
