Columbus 5, Buffalo 1: Tyler Clippard (3-4, 3.93) pitched six scoreless innings to win for the host Clippers. He struck out six while walking one and allowing three hits. Left fielder Pokey Reese (.000) went 0-for-4 in his first professional game since 2005.

Connecticut 9, Harrisburg 3: Roger Bernadina (.326) went 2-for-4 with a triple and one RBI in the Senators’ road loss.

Potomac 6, Salem 3: Ross Detwiler (4-2, 4.17) struck out nine in six innings in a win for the host Nationals.

Hagerstown 11, Kannapolis 7: Jake Smolinski (.260) went 3-for-3 with a double to help the Suns win on the road.
