More than 100 teenagers from across the country will gather today for the 10th annual National High School Leadership Conference sponsored by the Young America’s Foundation (YAF).
The event, held through Friday at the National 4-H Conference Center in Chevy Chase, “is designed as a ’crash course’ in conservative thought,” YAF officials said.
In addition to touring the nation’s capital, those attending the conference will hear from a variety of conservative speakers, including former Reagan administration official Bay Buchanan, radio talk-show host Kirby Wilbur and Rep. Virginia Foxx, North Carolina Republican.
Among the academics speaking at the YAF conference are Hillsdale College professor Burt Folsom, Loyola College professor Thomas DiLorenzo and Grove City College professor Paul Kengor. Other speakers include Middle Eastern affairs analyst Jonathan Schanzer and Michelle Easton of the Clare Booth Luce Policy Institute.
YAF is a nonprofit organization devoted to promoting conservative principles on college and high school campuses.
