Woods missed a birdie putt on the 18th hole that would have forced an 18-hole playoff between him and Cabrera today. Meanwhile, Aaron Baddeley might have set the record for fastest choke, giving up a two-stroke lead on the first hole after a triple bogey and finishing with an 80.

{bullet} Redskins open minicamp: Defensive backs Shawn Springs and LaRon Landry missed the camp, Springs because of his infant son’s illness and Landry because of a groin injury sustained from a paintball outing. “I didn’t know paintball was that dangerous,” linebacker Marcus Washington said. “I hope it wasn’t friendly fire.” Don’t worry: The Redskins haven’t hit anyone since 2005.

{bullet} Nationals drop two of three in Toronto: Nothing says interleague baseball quite like that Washington-Toronto blood feud. Ryan Zimmerman homered twice in the series, raising his season total to 12.

{bullet} Cubs-Padres brawl in Chicago: Chris Young drilled Derrek Lee on Saturday, setting off a fight that included Young and Lee swinging at each other and Carlos Zambrano taking off his belt. Biggest surprise: Nobody tried to punch Michael Barrett. Overshadowed by the brawl was Zambrano taking a no-hitter into the eighth but losing on a Russell Branyan homer in the ninth.
