SEEN AND HEARD AT DOLPHIN STADIUM
MIAMI — A lot of the Washington Nationals went home to spend time with family during the All-Star break, but Matt Chico had some extra responsibilities when he returned to his home in San Diego. Chico and his fiancee spent the time planning their wedding.
“It was stuff that needed to be done, but that pretty much took up the whole break,” he said. “The cake, the catering — all that stuff. I took care of a lot of stuff. It was nice.”
Nook Logan decided to use the time for a short vacation. He traveled to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
“It was nice to just to get away and relax,” Logan said. “It helps to be able to start the second half fresh. I just relaxed and had a chance to enjoy another culture. I got to see what was going on down there, with different foods and different drinks.”
QUOTABLE
“I really could care less about right-lefty-righty-lefty if I could get five guys that can win 20 games. If they all throw from one side I”d put them out there. We didn”t want to have three lefties in a row and now with the All-Star break we broke them up.”
