Marathon improv
Can’t get enough of improv? Improvapalooza 2007 will be just your cup of tea, as Washington Improv Theater stages a once-a-year marathon Saturday at the Source Theatre. Imagine 26 improv shows, each 10 minutes long, with some fillips you probably can’t imagine — like an entire show set in a bathroom. The craziness lasts from 7 p.m. to midnight. The preppy polo image gets an environmentally friendly makeover at the first-ever Green Cup polo match Saturday. The competition, open to professional and amateur players, aims to promote a greener lifestyle and combat the climate crisis. Country comes to town
High-octane country superstar Toby Keith is gearing up to show fans at the Nissan Pavilion on Saturday that he is as good as he ever was. Summer arts
The Fraser Gallery in Bethesda will host an opening reception for its Summer Group Exhibit tomorrow. Movies on the Mall
Bring a blanket and some snacks as HBO’s popular summer movie series Screen on the Green takes over the Mall beginning Monday. The series, which runs through Aug. 13, will feature a different film each week, starting with Woody Allen’s 1977 “Annie Hall.” The movies will be presented free of charge on the Mall, off Constitution Avenue, between Fourth and Seventh streets Northwest. Showtime is about 8 p.m.
