“If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” – Mark 3:25

Our nation recently witnessed a tragic and historic event that shook everyone to the core — the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.

This event starkly highlighted the deep political war and division plaguing the world’s most powerful nation. With eyes now firmly fixed on America, international speculation, especially from the Muslim world, predicts a potential civil war. These observers hope to see America crumble and destroy itself from within, desiring a more divided and weakened nation that loses its global power and position. We, as Americans, must understand that our enemies are waiting for us to be destroyed, and we cannot let that happen.

I grew up during the Civil War years in Turkey, experiencing firsthand the horrors of being in the middle of a battlefield. It was a war between the right and left parties, where people killed each other. I grew up amidst gunshots, bombs, and explosions. A terrorist training center was next to our building, and I developed complex PTSD at a young age, making fireworks anything but fun for me. My mom and I were once trapped in the middle of a battlefield until the police rescued us. The civil war ended only when the military coup intervened.

With President Trump’s assassination attempt, we have entered a new era that is a turning point for the United States. America embraces all colors, all people, and all nations. America became my country in 1996 when I found freedom as a refuge here, fleeing from an abusive radical Muslim husband. I never take my freedom in this amazing country for granted. I made America my home and have never regretted it. As Americans, we have seen difficult times such as the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks, natural disasters, recessions, and riots.

Right now, America is on the verge of a historic decision. We must choose whether to unite and fight our enemies together with one soul and heart or to be provoked by the enemy and contribute to our own devastation by acting emotionally and foolishly. We have a choice to make as Americans. I invite true Americans who love and appreciate this nation as I do, to choose unity and peace despite the attempts to provoke us into reacting otherwise.

When we are united, we can never be destroyed externally by our enemies.

A civil war in America would be devastating, bringing poverty, more trauma, and tragedy. America needs to be united now more than ever. We must be vigilant against the provocations of our enemies, who are eager to see us fall. This is a critical moment in our history, where we must move from warfare to revival, ensuring a united and stronger nation for future generations.

As a former abused Muslim woman who was redeemed by Jesus Christ in this great nation, I call on all Americans to unite and choose peace and love instead of fighting and destruction. Let us unite and discern who our true enemies are and take our positional authority. If we do this, America will transition from warfare to revival. And God will fight for us.
