Google users will see new updates that will make managing their online security much simpler.
In an effort to take the burden of cybersecurity off the backs of users, Google announced Thursday that Android and iPhone users will be able to easily manage their online footprint.
According to the announcement, Android users soon can delete the last 15 minutes of their internet browsing history with the touch of a button. Users need only click the top three dots on their Chrome browser to select the option.
Android users also will be able to access a report that shows if their account has been breached on the dark web. The new update brings the information into Google users’ account information tab. IPhone users soon will have access to a similar feature.
As part of the update, iPhone users have access to Google’s Password Manager, which saves users’ passwords on the Google app for easy autofill access.
The company’s cybersecurity updates come one day after Google announced it will move from traditional passwords to passkeys. Passkeys, like PIN numbers or fingerprint identification, won’t be the default option for new users.
