I have to commend the jurors in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial for their courage and integrity. They did the difficult job of finding not-guilty a young man who has been unfairly maligned not only by the far-left news media, but by the president of the United States.

As a former law-enforcement officer, I’ve seen injustice and wrongdoing by prosecutors who twisted and manipulated the law to win their cases. The prosecutors in the Rittenhouse trial were more like persecutors on a mission to destroy Rittenhouse, who acted in self-defense, in any way they could. What they did was a disservice to the legal system and all prosecutors across this country.

The responsibility of a prosecutor is to present the evidence they have to bring justice to a perpetrator for violating the law. It is not the job of a prosecutor to make up scenarios and fabricate evidence.

With the help of the media and a biased president who falsely labeled Rittenhouse a murderer and white supremacist, the hate-filled, simple-minded political left believed what they were told before the evidence was even in.

Rittenhouse was slandered and his character defamed. He was deemed guilty and denied the right to a fair trial in the media. I hope he sues every last one of his offenders.
