PORTLAND, Ore. — Police are investigating four shootings that left two people wounded within about three hours in Portland on Saturday night.
Two people, a 15-year-old girl and a man, were wounded in two of the shootings in different locations but were able to walk into hospitals seeking treatment on their own, police said.
In the third shooting, a home was struck by at least nine bullets, which went through the living room and into the bedrooms, but no one was injured.
The final shooting happened at a convenience store after three teens stole items and an employee confronted them, police said. One of the teens spit on the worker before leaving and, moments later, shots were fired into the store, police said. The employee was not injured.
The string of shootings follows a fatal shooting at an apartment in Portland on Christmas morning.
When Portland police arrived at the apartment on Friday they found that two people had been shot - one victim was dead and the other was taken to the hospital.
