HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - An Alabama A&M University graduate student has been found dead in her student housing.
WAAY-TV reports the university in a Facebook post announced that 32-year-old Deloi Cook, of Talladega, Alabama was found late Monday.
Campus Police Chief Nadis Carlisle says Cook’s family has been notified and her death is not believed to be a homicide.
Carlisle says there were no signs of forced entry at Normal Hills Student Apartments, where she lived. He also says there were no signs of trauma to the body and the apartment was not in disarray. An autopsy was not ordered, but he says blood was drawn for a toxicology screening.
Huntsville police are assisting campus police in the investigation.
The university says Cook was working on her master’s degree as a communications specialist.
