RICHMOND — As Trent Williams continues his holdout, others have wondered what it will take to get the star left tackle back to the Redskins. Would money heal all wounds? Is this even salvageable?

Well, according to former Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall, Williams wants changes made to the team’s medical staff. The seven-time Pro Bowler is upset over the way the team handed the diagnosis of a growth on his scalp, which later required surgery.

Hall said on the NFL Network that he’s talked with Williams about his situation.

“It’s not about money,” Hall said. “That’s what makes this so unorthodox and something we’ve never seen. We’ve never had a player say, ’Hey, get that training staff out of here or I’m not coming back.’”

Further adding to the drama, The Washington Post’s Jerry Brewer wrote in a column that Williams “has trust issues” with the medical staff — leaving him to want a trade. The Redskins have denied that Williams’ relationship with Bruce Allen is “fractured,” but Brewer’s report backs up what CBS’ Jason La Canfora reported of the left tackle wanting out.

The Redskins recently added veteran tackle Donald Penn amid Williams’ absence.
