NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Two companies have bid on the former Charleston Naval Hospital in South Carolina but officials aren’t saying how much the firms are willing to pay for the building that had a redevelopment deal fail.

The Post and Courier quotes Charleston County Contracts and Procurement Director Barrett Tolbert in a Monday report as saying the bids will remain sealed until the process is complete. CBRE of Charleston and PaceBook and Associates of Albany, Georgia, responded to the county’s request for proposals.

A development group that included Donald Trump Jr. bought the building in 2014 and agreed to lease three floors to the county before the county left the deal in 2016 saying the structure wasn’t ready.

The county’s failed project for the 24-acre (10-hectare) property could cost taxpayers more than $35 million.
