SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (AP) - The estate that was home to South Carolina’s first five-diamond resort is hitting the market for nearly $7 million.

The Post and Courier of Charleston reported the Woodlands Mansion in Summerville is being sold by former South Carolina House member Tom Limehouse.

The 11-acre estate is an event venue and inn that was formerly the Woodlands Resort and Inn.

The Georgian Revival-style house was built in 1906 as the winter home for Pennsylvania railroad executive Robert Parsons. The 18-bedroom mansion includes more than 25,000 square feet (2,322 sq. meters), and the grounds include an over 4,000-square-foot (1,219 sq. meter) pavilion area. There are two formal dining rooms, a board room, a private bar and swimming pool.

Limehouse bought the property in 2012 for $980,000 from Salamander Hotels and Resorts.
